Business Writing

You won’t find “business writing” – except books about it – at Barnes and Noble. None of it will ever receive the Nobel Prize in Literature nor will Dreamworks or Disney turn a business proposal or manual into a major theatrical release. But it’s nonetheless important to our economy – and your wallet.

Companies, large and small, write all sorts of stuff, constantly, including everything from routine emails to operating manuals to important documents defining company procedures and policy. Whatever the scope of your enterprise, great ideas are still born of words written on fast food napkins and laptop screens. In no small way, words are the molecules of profit, the chemistry of success or failure.

Hello people running or thinking about running for office.

Elections don’t just happen on a given day. They’re an every day, ongoing process.

The most successful candidates are always running for office… always keeping their constituents up to date and well-informed.

Good news. Political writing – and editing what you’ve already written – is one of our specialties.

In no particular order, we do… Campaign strategizing. Palm cards. Mailings. Campaign website content. Print ads. We write radio and television commercials. Well-researched and publishable position papers. Debate prep. Compelling speeches that will have voters on their feet and clapping wildly. Op/eds. Constituent updates for our clients who already hold elected offices.

Everything we do for candidates is affordable and well worth it. The campaign strategizing is free.

Want to get elected? Call us. The sooner, the better for your campaign.

Welcome to
Writeaway

Call anytime, evenings and weekends included. If you get voice mail, just leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.  Or feel free to send us an email to Contact@Writeaway.us

P.S. A couple of other things you should know…

We charge all our clients according to what their campaigns can afford – and will, sometimes, help them raise the campaign contributions they need to pay for our services.

All our communications with clients are strictly confidential. We never talk about the work we do for any of our clients, not even their names. You can refer Writeaway to others of course, but we’re never going to use your name for promotional or other purposes.

Democrats or Republicans, we don’t care as long as you’re good people.

And we never, ever work for more than one candidate in a given race.

FREE Website Content Review*

Whatever the size of your business or non-profit, you can’t afford to waste a visit to your website.

It’s hard enough getting people to come to your website. Whether it’s only 5 or 10, 1000 or 100,000 or more people a day – you want the visits you get to count. You want people reading what you have to say and acting on it.

We can help with that. It’s simple. All you have to do email us the address of your website. We’ll take a look and get back to you with our comments and suggestions about how you can improve the effectiveness of your written material.

In case you’re wondering, we’re content writers and editors, not website design specialists – although we’re only human and will share our design comments with you when we can’t help ourselves.

No charge. Welcome to Writeaway.

*Company and non-profit organization websites only.

Question… We’d like to hire Writeaway to be available whenever we need a document edited. Or written. But we don’t want to pay on an hourly basis or per document. Can we just reserve a block of Writeaway time every month? Whether we use it or not? To use whenever we need it? Even a little bit here, a little bit there? And at a discount below the hourly rates you normally charge? Like we were hiring Writeaway to be a part-time employee, but without all those extra employee-related costs?

Answer… Sure.

Content?

Notice the question mark in the title to this post? It’s there to make a point. “Content” is a word that is overused and under-defined in our business. So let’s fix that.

Technically, it’s the stuff – the written words and images – the contents of a piece published on a website or blog. We’re creating content as we type this.

Problem Solving

Our primary business is helping our clients solve problems. It’s something we do with research, creative thinking and marketing, by using language to convince key people and the public at large that what our clients are asking makes sense and deserves their approval and support.

For example, here are just a few of the types of problems we help our clients solve.

Political campaigning You want to get elected, but nobody knows your name and the incumbent has an obscene amount of contributions you can’t possibly match. We know what to do, how to work with your campaign and within your budget to help you get elected – if not this time, next time.

Hi.

Email us a document.  No more than 2500 words or about 5 single-spaced typed pages.  Send it to Contact@Writeaway.us with a cover note explaining that document’s purpose.  We’ll read it and email you back with our comments and suggestions.  For free.  No charge.

Oh, and if you prefer to talk to us face-to-face, that’s fine.  Even better.  We can do that over the phone or via Zoom, whatever works best for you.  We’re busy like crazy, so please email us first to set up that call.

It’s free.

Send us something you’ve written or have had written for your company, campaign or non-profit initiative. Something important. Something that you need to sell whatever you make or do, to raise capital for your business or funding for your campaign. Something that is meant to convey an essential message.

We’ll take a look and let you know what we think and how, if we have any suggestions, the document might be improved. No charge. It’s good will. After all, the more helpful our comments, the more likely you are to do business with us later and recommend Writeaway to others in need of writing and editing services.

What are we?

We use writing and messaging to help our corporate, political and non-profit clients accomplish their objectives.

Put  another way, we use words – in all sorts of different formats and contexts – to solve problems that our clients are having.  To convince people – customers, council members and legislators, consumers, voters and other segments of the public, even lenders and contributors – that our clients’ points of view are the correct ones.  That the products, services or ideas that you’re selling are the ones they should buy, believe in and support.

Figuratively speaking, in the debate in which you are engaged, you want Writeaway on your team.

That’s what we are, the player whose contribution will, more often than not, make the difference between success and failure.
